Join us for a 3 hour lesson in Arabic calligraphy, using traditional tools. Learn how to write the alphabet and make a final composition on tanned calligraphy paper.

What’s included:

  • Demonstration of pen cutting
  • Practicing Arabic letters and words
  • Writing sentences
  • Making artwork on calligraphy paper
  • Workbook provided for keeping

A 6 week calligraphy course will be organised soon after (probably in summer time), workshop attendees can join at a discounted price.

Ticketing: Upon purchasing a ticket, you will recieve an order confirmation, and your name will be added to a register. So when attending the workshop you can just state your name or the name of the person who put the order in.

Minimum Age: There is no minimum age to this workshop, as it’s an introductory class but as we’ll be using wooden pens, it’s recommended they be age 10 or above so it’s not too difficult. Students below the age of 10 may struggle to handle wooden pens in which case there are felt tip pens they can use. Youngsters are still welcome to join, as I will be there to guide them.
